Welcome to the Freeride Spirit family.

 

Former professional Enduro pilot with proven credentials, João Roxo is well known in the world of motorsports for the trophies and experience he collected over two decades.

In 1994, he began his motor racing adventure; four years later, he won the prestigious Husaberg trophy and was runner-up in the Portuguese Enduro championship. In 2002 he reached the zenith of his career by winning a silver medal at the most important event in the enduro racing calendar, the International Six Days of Enduro (ISDE), held in the Czech Republic.

The creation of Freeride Spirit marks the beginning of a new chapter in João Roxo’s career; it now focuses on sharing his passion for offroad sport and On Road tours in Portugal.

Paulo Marques

An international towering figure, Paulo Marques won eleven Portuguese Enduro Championships. At the ISDE, won a gold medal, 4 silver medals and 3 bronze medals. He rode the Dakar Rally ten times, finishing 8th in 2002 when he came 1st at the Marathon – KTM 660 Rally Replica.

The youngest member of our team, brings a special inspiration and energy to our adventure tours. Driven by a passion for motorsport, Ricardo is an enthusiastic, outgoing person who enjoys sharing his knowledge with the riders.

Bruno Moça

With over ten years of offroad racing experience, our engineer is capable of solving problems swiftly. The long lasting work with numerous professional riders made Bruno quite proficient with KTM motorbikes and in accommodating each rider’s needs.

As the Freeride Spirit’s tours organizer and host to the riders throughout their stay, his job is to insure that everything runs smoothly. An adventurous traveller that can present you the portuguese culture like no one else. Any special request is up to him

Sam is committed to provide the best touring experience. He’s also our multimedia guy, so if you see him behind the camera during your tour, smile! When not assisting riders, Sam spends time enjoying Porto’s nightlife, theatre, beaches, and amazing outdoor activities.

HOW TO GET HERE

Porto International Airport was awarded as the third best medium size airport in Europe, one among many details that make Porto more appealing.

Currently 20 airlines, among them several low-cost airlines, operate from Porto Airport, flying to 78 destinations, transporting over 6.4 million passengers a year.

A short commute separates the airport from the city centre where you can find our head office and Porto Guesthouse, and just 40 minutes from our other basecamps, in Minho, north of Porto.
